Who We Are
Since 1939, The Port Alberni Kinsmen Cub have offered community-minded people the opportunity to make our town or city a better place to live. With fundraising,leadership and personal development opportunities, our Club enables volunteers to help others in ways that no one person could do alone ... and to grow personally in the process.
The Port Alberni Kinsmen undertake a wide variety of local fundraising and service projects. Our club operates autonomously when determining how it fundraises and distributes those funds within the local community.
The Club has taken youth and disabled individuals in need from the community as priority.
Through a variety of service projects organized by Club, Kin Canada has collectively helped thousands, possibly millions of people in need. Kin members can proudly say they have contributed more than $1 billion to Canadian communities, including hundreds of millions for parks, playgrounds and community facilities. We are also the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s oldest partner at 46 years, to which we have donated over $38 million.
